Ocean Armour was born from our love of the ocean. As dive professionals and ocean lovers, we set out to make a difference after seeing the effects of plastic pollution in our oceans every day.
Designed with both practicality and sustainability in mind, our changing ponchos & beach towels are quick-drying, antimicrobial, super absorbent & compact.
They're also planet friendly, made from 100% recycled fabric.
We’d seen the effects of plastic pollution many times before, and it was heartbreaking every time. But, one dive changed everything.
We were diving in perfect conditions at Manta Point, Nusa Penida, mesmerised by these beautiful creatures.
As the dive ended, the current suddenly changed and the water around us was suddenly filled with plastic & trash.

We decided we wanted to make a difference & we set out to switch to sustainable gear, where possible.
A hooded change poncho was always a must-have for us around the water but we couldn't find anything that was sustainable, practical and felt great to wear.
So we set out to create our own quick-drying, sustainable change poncho that showed our love of the ocean through our marine inspired designs.

rPET takes that waste and turns it into a commodity - a planet-friendly yarn with the same practical qualities as the virgin alternative.
The rPET process also uses 90% less water, 70% less energy & has an 80% lower carbon footprint.

Did you know that same plastic is used to create polyester & nylon fabric... and it's what your beach towels are made of? We had no idea until, and after years of seeking an alternative we found a perfect alrernative.
Our recycled polyester (rPET) takes our discarded plastic bottles and turns them into a PLANET FRIENDLY yarn with the same practical qualities!
